
Partner Up: Student Perspective Powers Course Design
The Student-Faculty Partnership Program (SFPP) invites full-time faculty at our New York campus to collaborate with a student partner during the spring 2026 term. SFPP is a unique, semester-long collaboration where a student and faculty member work together in ways that help faculty gain student perspective, develop their teaching, and help students better appreciate teaching and learning.
If interested, join us for the SFPP information session on December 4th, 12:00pm at the Center for Teaching and Learning, 18 Washington Place. This 30-minute information session will be followed by light refreshments with past SFPP participants. RSVP here.

Students as Educational Innovators: User-Designed Tools for Learning (SoTL Series)

This talk showcases two student-led initiatives that leverage generative AI and co-design to tackle learning needs. The first, GradeGPT, enhances feedback to promote deeper learning. The second, the Communication and Presentation Skills (CaPS) Project, provides formal training in graduate-level communication skills.
Teaching and Learning Grants
The NYU Center for Teaching and Learning is pleased to announce the 2026 Teaching Advancement Grant (TAG) application cycle. TAG aims to help NYU faculty members undertake projects that will enhance student learning and promote innovative teaching practice. Project proposals are due January 23rd, 2026.
Applications for spring Student Activities Grants (SAG) are due December 15, 2025. SAG supports academically enriching activities outside the classroom—such as museum visits, cultural events, or other community-engaged experiences that take advantage of NYU’s vibrant connections to New York City. Apply here.
This fall, the CTL awarded 44 Student Activities Grants as well as 15 Faculty Learning Community (FLC) Grants. Congratulations!
